Diverse Chamber of Commerce Hosted the Richmond Tasting Menu Business Mixer at Fuzzy Lounge
On June 9th, Richmond’s vibrant business community gathered at Fuzzy Lounge for an unforgettable evening of networking, delicious food, and new partnerships.
Hosted by the Diverse Chamber of Commerce, the Exclusive Tasting Menu Business Mixer was a fantastic opportunity for local entrepreneurs, chamber members, and community leaders to connect and celebrate growth.
A Night of Culinary Delights and Community Building
Guests enjoyed a curated tasting menu featuring crab cake egg rolls, fried fish, honey garlic salmon, chicken wings, mac and cheese, and sliders. The flavorful menu was perfect for mingling and discussing business opportunities in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Highlights from the Event
Leadership and Growth:
Andrew Grider, another Regional Ambassador Richmond area presented the Welcome Address sharing his excitement about showcasing local talent and encouraging entrepreneurs to seize networking opportunities.
Community and Collaboration:
Cherud Wilkerson, Regional Ambassador Richmond area and Leadership Board Member, delivered an inspiring keynote on “Building Stronger Local Business Communities,” emphasizing the importance of collaboration and growth within Richmond.
Member Recognition:
The event featured heartfelt recognition of chamber members and their contributions to Richmond’s thriving business scene. Cherud also acknowledged new chamber members, Erica Jackson-Bailey of Fuzzy’s Lounge and Lauren Simmons President of Pure Vision LLC.
Boots on Ground, Games, and Raffle Fun
Adding an energetic and community-centered touch to the evening, attendees participated in “Boots on Ground,” a fun community line dance. One highlights of the night was the exciting “Musical Chairs Biz Pitch Competition,” where three small businesses competed in a lively game of musical chairs—pitching their business each given 30 seconds to pitch, wowed the crowd with their creativity and passion. Audience applause determined the winners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, awarding cash prizes to each.
The night also included a lively raffle with prizes such as a laptop and chamber memberships. Winners were celebrated, and everyone enjoyed the friendly competition that kept the atmosphere lively and engaging.
