Anita Lofton is a dynamic Senior Advocate at the Diverse Chamber of Commerce, leveraging over 30 years of healthcare expertise to champion the needs of seniors and promote health equity in her community. Since becoming a licensed benefit broker in 1986, Anita has excelled as a healthcare executive, managing top-tier national accounts and delivering profitable outcomes that enhance market share for her clients.

Recognized as one of California’s leading healthcare advocates, Anita’s influence continues to grow. As a Medicare Executive at Kaiser Permanente, she has made significant contributions to the field. In 2020, she launched her podcast, “The Health Advocate”, which highlights the work of inspiring health advocates throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Additionally, she produced the inaugural Health Advocacy Awards ceremony in February 2020, celebrating outstanding contributions in the field.
Anita’s commitment to community empowerment is evident in her founding of the Central San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce in 2009, aimed at economically uplifting African American businesses and consumers. She firmly believes that a community’s health is deeply connected to its economic vibrancy.
A native of San Francisco, Anita is a proud mother of two adult daughters, including one who is a Chinese Medical Doctor. She is currently pursuing her Health Care Advocate certification at UC Berkeley, building on over four years of business studies at UCLA and UC Berkeley Extension.
