Jacqueline Garcia is a dedicated educator and community advocate, proudly serving as the Latino Education Liaison on the Leadership Advisory Board for the Diverse Chamber of Commerce. As a first-generation college graduate from Point Loma Nazarene University, Jacqueline earned her Bachelor’s degree and a Bilingual Crosscultural Language and Academic Development (BCLAD) credential, reflecting her commitment to bilingual education and cultural inclusivity.
Growing up as one of eleven children, Jacqueline understands the importance of education in transforming lives. Her passion for teaching led her to a rewarding career that began at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in San Ysidro, California, where she taught for three years. Since 1996, she has been a valued member of the National City School District, currently teaching Bilingual Second Grade at Kimball Elementary in a Dual Language program.
In addition to her teaching, Jacqueline has been actively involved in her community, volunteering to coach seventh-grade basketball at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Her extensive experience in education and her deep commitment to empowering Latino families make her a vital asset to the Diverse Chamber of Commerce, where she advocates for equitable educational opportunities and resources.
Jacqueline’s work is driven by her belief in the power of education to uplift communities and inspire future generations. Through her role on the Leadership Advisory Board, she aims to foster collaboration and support for diverse educational initiatives that benefit Latino students and families.
