Mr. Mayiani is also a proud Regional Ambassador of the Diverse Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representing the vibrant Southwest Region right from beautiful Christiansburg, Virginia.
Born and raised in Kajiado, Kenya, Mr. Mayiani is a seasoned Data Analytics Expert with a solid understanding of actionable insights that are critical in driving organizational data-informed decisions. Mayiani spent over 10 years working in the Higher Education sector helping institutional leaders make strategic data-driven decisions. Mr. Mayiani is excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by the data set and fascinated by the possibilities presented by Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI).
As a business owner in Christiansburg, Mayiani is constantly inspired by the rich history and culture of the New River Valley. From the scenic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the lively markets at the Christiansburg Farmers Market, “there’s a sense of community that’s truly special. It’s this spirit of togetherness that fuels my passion for data research and community engagement” said Mayiani.

Mr. Mayiani holds a Master of Science in Integrated Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Science with a double concentration in Applied GIS and Environmental Conservation and Sustainable Development both from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia.
