Daron Moore is a seasoned educator and innovative leader with over 20 years of experience in Physics, Robotics, STEM, and Cybersecurity. As the visionary behind the cybersecurity and robotics programs at Portsmouth Public Schools, Daron has designed and implemented comprehensive curricula that include summer camps, after-school clubs, and secondary courses. He is dedicated to training instructors to effectively teach cybersecurity, ensuring that the next generation is well-equipped for the challenges of the digital age.

In February 2021, Daron founded Moore CyberEd, a hands-on training program designed to empower individuals from non-technical backgrounds to pursue careers in cybersecurity. His expertise has also been sought in various capacities as a consultant, contributing to NSA-sponsored GenCyber Camps, Norfolk Public Schools, digital forensics initiatives, and the federal government sector.

Daron’s commitment to diversity in technology extends to his leadership role in the Diverse Chamber of Commerce, where he serves as Chair of the Diversity in Technology Committee and as a Regional Ambassador. He actively works to bridge the diversity gap in technology and expand opportunities for underrepresented groups in the region. Additionally, as a leader in the Diverse Chamber of Commerce Esports Academic Gaming League, he promotes academic engagement through esports, fostering a new avenue for students to explore technology and teamwork.

Currently, Daron continues to develop cybersecurity curricula and serves as a contracted instructor for the Department of Homeland Security, supporting the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). His passion for education, diversity, and innovation is shaping the future of cybersecurity training and outreach while making a significant impact in his community and beyond.
