On July 25, 2025, Monje’s Day Spa expanded reopening its doors at 445 N. Battlefield Blvd, Suite O, Chesapeake, VA 23320, in a morning-long event hosted by the Diverse Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Highlights from the Event

Running from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the celebration brought together business owners, community members, and supporters for a thoughtful morning of renewal, collaboration, and opportunity. This gathering not only marked a fresh chapter for Monje’s but also highlighted a notable expansion in leadership within the Diverse Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with Michelle Augustus, National Ambassador Chair, extending her business growth and network-building influence to new heights.
 
The program began with Doors Open and a Welcome Reception, giving attendees an inviting space to mingle, settle in, and share in the anticipatory energy of a community poised for progress. At 10:10 AM, Michelle Augustus delivered the Welcome Address on behalf of the Diverse Chamber of Commerce and Industry, framing resilience, community strength, and a collective journey toward a brighter, more inclusive future for Chesapeake and its surrounding areas. Her remarks underscored the organization’s ongoing commitment to empowering local businesses and fostering inclusive growth across the region.

Community Prayer

A Community Prayer followed at 10:20 AM, led by a local faith leader, invoking blessings for success, prosperity, and overall well-being within the community. The program continued with a keynote address at 10:30 AM from The Mayor of Virginia Beach, Robert “Bobby” Dyer, who offered encouragement and continued support for local businesses and community development.

By 11:00 AM, attendees gathered for a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony, officially signaling Monje’s grand reopening and marking the start of a new era for the establishment. A Networking and Community Engagement segment at 11:20 AM provided opportunities to exchange well-wishes, forge new relationships, and enjoy light refreshments in a collaborative, welcoming setting.

The event concluded at 12:00 PM with refreshments, complimentary mini-services, and opportunities for one-on-one consultations, enabling guests to celebrate the milestone, discuss partnerships, and explore ongoing opportunities for prosperity within the community. 
 
Beyond the ceremonial traditions, the day emphasized practical pathways for growth and strengthened local enterprise, all while highlighting Michelle Augustus’s leadership expansion within the Diverse Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
